The easiest way is to just burn a CD but I did not have any blank disk on hand and I do have plenty of flash drives. Normally I would use something like Unebootin and load it up and point it to the downloaded ISO file but for some reason it just ended up in a menu boot loop. I am unsure how to fix it so I tried alternative programs until I found one that works. It does the same thing as below but with only 2 clicks. You get the same Windows bootloader and it works. You will need 2 flash drives. So you can use the flash drive you use to install windows with.
If you do not have a windows OS install flash drive you can Download the Windows Flash tool and create a windows 7 flash drive with it. Make sure you label the drive as when you boot from it it looks just like you are loading windows. You will get the black screen with the white bar on the bottom that says “Windows is Loading Files” then, it will change to “Windows is Starting” followed by the 4 dots and circling then it will swap to the P2P OS.
This may be a strange way to make it work but I could not find on the Paragon site how to make a bootable drive so I tried various things until something worked. Also keep in mind the Drive letter of the USB flash drives on the PC that you will be plugging them into to create the tool. You WILL need to know that and change the drive letters on the guide. Step 1: As the first step, we need to run Command Prompt as administrator. To do this, we need to find cmd by typing ‘cmd’ in the search box on Windows Start Menu.
After search result for ‘cmd’ appears, right click on it and select “Run as administrator”. There would be seen that the active disks shown as Disk 0 for hard drive and Disk 1 for your USB flashdrive with its total capacity. Creating a primary partition and further recognized by Windows as ‘partition 1’. Choosing the ‘partition 1’ for setting up it as an active partition. Activating current partition. Formatting current partition as NTFS file system quickly.
We would still need it for next process. Ok now that we have your USB drive cleaned and ready we will now prepare it for the files needed. Now this is where it gets a little tricky but I have no doubt you can easily figure it out. Step 2: This is where you need to know the drive letters of the drives as they are plugged in. Change them in this guide to fit your needs 1 By default, Command Prompt’s active directory for Administrator permission is on C: Just type ‘f: Active directory changed to F: Creating boot sector on D: Until this step we have made a bootable USB drive sucessfully, and the flash drive is ready to be used as a boot media.
Step 3: I suggest putting the ISO inside a separate file and extracting it inside that file so you can see what all is with the file. Once you have the ISO extracted highlight all the extracted files and copy them to the root of the newly USB flash drive you just created. If you double click on the flash drive from My Computer you should see a couple files that say Boot and some others.
